   Thanks for the great information so far.

   Is it possible to blog about how much data was actually used by attendees etc over Tech Ed

   and also the amount of electricity consumption?

   Who doesnt love stats!

   Yes, I intend to do data in detail – as well as the full low-down on what we were doing about the @*#&^@ people using bittorrent despite being asked not to. It is quite a tale that involved getting some code written on the fly by part of the Windows team in India. More on that later when I untangle a few debacles such as our (Codify’s) community mailing lists and the hell that awaits me in terms of invoicing and reconciliation.

   As for power, I am not sure if the venue can provide metered breakdown information like that but I will ask. Any kWh figures they would provide would no doubt include significant non-computation figures such as massive lighting and cooling loads. I’m not sure our IT gear would rate a blip compared to running enough A/C plant to keep 3000 nerds cool.
